Slack Integration for Urgent Sick Calls

Parishes can connect their team’s Slack workspace to receive real-time notifications when sick call requests are logged.

Setting Up Slack:

1. Navigate to Pastoral Care > Settings (/pastoral-care/settings).
2. Click Connect Slack (/pastoral-care/slack/authorize).
3. Authorize CatholicOffice in your Slack workspace and select the desired channel (e.g., #clergy-sick-calls or #pastoral-care).
4. Once connected:
   • Urgent Sick Calls will post an immediate alert with patient name, location, and a direct link to the sick call card.
   • Updates to assignment status (e.g., when a priest claims the call) will update in the thread.

Pastoral Care Statistics & Reports

1. Go to Pastoral Care > Reports (/pastoral-care/report).
2. Filter by date range (Month, Quarter, Year-to-Date):
   • Total Sick Calls Logged vs. Completed.
   • Breakdown by Sacrament: Anointings, Confessions, Viaticum.
   • Homebound Visits Logged: Total visits conducted across homebound parishioners and nursing facilities.
   • Minister Activity: Distribution of visits across priests, deacons, and EMHCs.
3. Export reports for parish council meetings, annual archdiocesan pastoral reports, or ministry reviews.
